Henri Akono

Henri Akono, Ph.D., is Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Accounting at the Maine Business School (MBS). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. His research interests include capital market audits, executive compensation, analyst forecasts and recommendations, and others. His papers have been published in accounting and finance journals such as Accounting Horizons, Accounting and Business Research, Review of Accounting and Finance, Advances in Accounting, Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance, American Journal of Accounting and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Finance, and Internal Auditing. His teaching interests include Auditing, Managerial Accounting, and Financial Reporting. He has also co-authored a chapter on audit fees and production models in the Routledge Companion to Auditing. Dr. Akono previously held several roles in the University of Maine Faculty Senate, including chair, president, and vice president.
