What is Flagship Match
The Flagship Match Commitment is UMaine’s merit-based scholarship program for qualified out-of-state students. Instead of paying standard out-of-state tuition rates, eligible students pay a tuition rate equivalent to in-state tuition of their home state’s flagship university.

By submitting your application, you’re already considered for merit scholarships including Flagship Match. Applying by Dec. 1 ensures you receive maximum consideration for available scholarships.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using UMaine’s school code (002053). Completing the FAFSA opens the door to federal, state, and additional need-based grant aid to help round out your financial plan.
