Skip the application fee, the standardized tests, and the hassle. Get your application decision in as little as three days.

Important Dates

  • Fall Admission Deadlines
    • December 1: Early Action application deadline to receive maximum financial aid and a guaranteed decision before the end of the year.
    • March 1: Regular application deadline with scholarships given as available
    • Beyond March 1: All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Spring Admission Deadlines
    • November 1: Recommended application submission date.
    • November 15: Survey Engineering Technology applications complete after Nov. 15 will be reviewed only on a space available basis.
    • January 1: Applications submitted after Jan. 1 will be reviewed on a space available basis

Applications are reviewed holistically once complete. UMaine requires a high school transcript, a letter of recommendation for first-year applicants, and transcripts from any completed college work. Some academic programs may have additional requirements.

Submit Supporting Documents

  • Submit your transcripts, academic reference, and any other requirements based on your academic major.

  • Your application is now complete. Congrats! If you applied by December 1, UMaine will send your admissions decision before the holidays.

Apply for Scholarships & financial Aid

  • FAFSA must be submitted by March 1, but sooner is always better.
  • The FAFSA will open in December. Go to studentaid.gov to create your account to apply for federal financial aid, which can include grants, low-interest loans, workstudy eligibility and more.
  • Don’t stop at the FAFSA! More than $6 BILLION in scholarship money is awarded to students every year, according to the Department of Education. Talk to your high school guidance counselor for ideas on where to start applying.

First-Year

Fall Admission Deadlines

Transfer

  • July 1: Applications submitted after July 1 will be considered on a space-available basis.

Spring Admission Deadlines

  • Spring Transfers should apply and submit their FAFSA’s early in the fall semester; applications submitted after January 1 will be considered on a space-available basis.
  • November 15: Survey engineering technology applications complete after Nov. 15 will be reviewed only on a space available basis.
  • January 1: Applications submitted after Jan. 1 will be reviewed on a space available basis

International

  • April 1: Fall Semester
  • November 1: Spring Semester

Applications received after these deadlines will be considered for admission and scholarship on an availability basis.
