Lisa Marchese Eames, JD – 2019
Lisa Marchese graduated from Bangor High School, earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Maine, and in 1986, received her law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. Following graduation, Lisa was hired to work in the Criminal Division of the Maine Attorney General’s office, where she taught at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and handled extradition cases for several governors. She served as the State’s first Statewide Drug Coordinator for drug prosecution matters, and in 1997, Lisa became one of four homicide prosecutors for the state of Maine. She has chaired the Domestic Violence Homicide Review panel for the past decade, a panel charged with reviewing domestic violence related homicides in an effort to reduce domestic abuse deaths. Lisa is a member of the Attorney General’s Human Trafficking working group. In recognition of her relentless pursuit of justice, she received the Caroline Duby Glassman award from the Maine State Bar Association in 2010. She has served as Deputy Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division since 2014.
