Founded in 2012 by Eric and Sue Meyer, the winery is now owned by Walt and Deb Schwarz. Eric and Sue started the winery in 2012 out of a love for wine and the hard work and craft that goes into producing it. They bought an old barn and renovated it, as well as landscaped the surrounding grounds to make it suitable for growing grapes. Walt and Deb are carrying on the legacy that Eric and Sue established, bringing the winery into a new decade and beyond!

Today, Walt and Deb frame the winery as a place to escape and unwind. They offer a comfortable tasting room that acts as a place to hang out, and wine tasting is available for a nominal fee, as well as being served by the flight or glass. “We do not hurry our tastings, but prefer to visit with each and every quest, taking some time to get to know them.” People often stay at the winery over the course of a day, enjoying leisure activities such as reading and playing games.

The coronavirus pandemic has significantly disrupted Maine’s tourism industry, as well as required adjustments to the physical setup of the winery. Specifically, Deb and Walt took advantage of Maine’s dry summer in 2020 to expand outdoors in order to accommodate guests! They have also explored retail products such as mugs and wine candles.

Looking forward, the winery aims to expand into the green space around the building by creating a screened-in area for guests to enjoy the winery’s offerings. They are also planning to explore more retail options such as wine bottle lamps, jewelry, t-shirts, and more!
