Opportunities:

- The SRE Workgroup will provide opportunities and concerns for the Financial Impact Model
- Reducing Barriers to Student Success
- SRE Workgroup is conducting multiple student focus groups throughout Fall 2024 to better understand barriers students are facing related to progression and graduation
- SRE Workgroup is compiling a list of perceived barriers to student success
- National Institute for Student Success:
- Phase 1: Fall 2024 UMaine & UMM Diagnostic Analysis Conducted
- NISS Campus Stakeholder Survey (40-50 key student support service stakeholders, administrators, etc.)
- NISS Institutional Data and Operations Questionnaire (provides detailed data from several student support resources)
- Members of SRE Workgroup may be included in the NISS Diagnostic Analysis
- SRE Ideas generated as part of this process will be shared with NISS Team
- Phase 2: Fall 2024 UMaine & UMaine Machias Student Success Playbook is developed
- Shared with President’s Cabinet
- Shared more broadly across the university
- SRE Workgroup will provide opportunities and concerns for the initiatives within the playbook
Concerns:
- How will additional revenue generated from increased retention be reinvested to support student success efforts across UMaine and UMaine Machias
- Once the NISS Diagnostics and Playbook are shared with the SRE Workgroup, a complete list of opportunities and concerns will be provided
