For coordination of meeting room set-ups, exhibit space, dining and lodging arrangements, we highly suggest utilizing the University of Maine’s Conference Services Division to help plan your entire event. One call can activate arrangements for food service, housing, technology, meeting room reservations, and all other conference-related services. Their experienced professional staff are ready to assist with every conference need, allowing the conference chair to focus on content rather than logistical details, such as:

Dig safe permits

A digging permit must be obtained from FM before a hole is dug, a stake is driven, or the ground is penetrated in any way. To obtain a permit, contact Andy Brown at the FM Engineering Center at 581.1811 or e-mail UM.DigSafe @maine.edu

Bonfire Pits

Bonfire pits require an Event Form from umaine.edu/plan-an-event; a Fire permit from the Center for Student Involvement 581.8325; Fire Dept. notification (Orono or Old Town); and a Work Order from FM (online work order or call 581.4400 for more information.
