‘The Maine Question’ asks about teaching politics without getting political
The last few years have been especially busy for Mark Brewer.
The University of Maine political science professor is a respected go-to source for reporters seeking context about political events and the political climate.
That’s in addition to his research about partisanship, public opinion, public policy, and interactions between religion and politics, and his popular courses, including Leadership Ethics as well as Music and Politics in the American Context.
Recently, Brewer found time to talk with “The Maine Question” host Ron Lisnet about the role of politics in our lives. In Episode 5 of Season 4 of the podcast, Brewer explains ranked choice voting, the Electoral College, and the filibuster, and he shares how he teaches politics without getting political.
The podcast is on iTunes, Google Podcasts, SoundCloud, Stitcher, Spotify and “The Maine Question” website. New episodes are added Thursdays.
