Biography
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Mathematics from Clark University in December 2024. I am interested in using mathematical modeling and data science to support sustainable fisheries management and marine aquaculture. My PhD work is broadly focused on estimating crustacean size at maturity from morphometric data. I am particularly interested in using synthesis approaches (systematic reviews and meta-analyses) to understand patterns and drivers of crustacean size at maturity, especially for economically important fisheries and data-poor species like the Jonah crab. I am also passionate about open science and supporting transparent, reproducible research in ecology and evolution. When I’m not coding in R, I’m probably running—I currently compete for UMaine on the Women’s Track & Field and Cross-Country teams.
