French after-school program for K-5

Due to the Coronavirus, we have had to cancel our after-school French program.  We hope to offer it again soon.

Franco American Programs runs an after-school French program for children in grades K-5.  It is designed for those with no exposure to French and for those with some experience in the language.  Our aim is to make learning French fun in a safe, after-school environment. We also seek to connect French language learners with heritage language speakers in our area.

The classes are organized by ability, and students are taught by French and Education college students under the supervision of Susan Pinette and Lisa Michaud.

We hold classes on Mondays and Wednesdays afterschool until 5pm at the YMCA in Old Town Maine.

We offer the class during the second Fall session (October 28, 2019 – December 18, 2019) and the first Spring session at the Y. We will be offering classes during the 2019-2020 academic year.
