Sam Kunz

Sam Kunz works primarily with first and second year students as an advisor and mentor. He also coordinates the CLAS first year seminar, Success in College. As Assistant Director of the AASC, Sam works especially closely with students on academic probation or dealing with other  setbacks, helping them to achieve their goals of academic recovery. Sam collaborates with other cross campus advisors and staff to develop initiatives aimed at enhancing student success. Having had his own circuitous journey through college and over 25 years experience working in higher education, Sam firmly believes in the power of forming a positive connection between student and advisor.
