Rebecca Kennedy

I serve as the Assistant Director of Fiscal and Administrative Services for the Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Maine, where I support the financial operations of several research and graduate education units. My role focuses on budget management, financial reporting, financial compliance, and strategic planning, while also overseeing indirect cost return distributions and supporting internal research awards and startup funding.

I work closely with faculty, staff, and leadership to help navigate financial processes and resolve complex budget or account questions. People often reach out to me for guidance on budgeting, account reconciliations, startup and IDC funding, and understanding university financial policies and procedures.
