Mary E. Dozier
Research Interests
My research has two overlapping foci: behavioral interventions for older adults and the presentation and treatment of hoarding disorder across the lifespan. Most recently I have been studying the impact of a rural context on hoarding disorder, with grant support from the American Psychological Foundation and the National Institute of Mental Health.
I am also interested in the impact of stigma on treatment-seeking behaviors and welcome opportunities to speak to lay audiences on the consequences of clutter across the clinical spectrum and the importance of object attachment to identity.
