Gabriella Fryer (she/her) is an academic advisor with the College of Education and Human Development Advising Center. She earned her Master of Arts in English with a concentration in Gender and Literature at the University of Maine in 2024. Gabriella loves reading and writing about medieval and gothic literature as well as fantasy, fairy tales, and folklore. Gabriella also works as an editor and research assistant. 

Gabriella is passionate about education and has spent the last 10+ years as a student or educator. Before moving to Maine, she taught high school English and tutored K-12 students in Illinois. She has since taught several sections of ENG 101 at the University of Maine. She loves helping people get excited about education and supporting them through their college experience. 

Gabriella lives in Orono with her partner, three kiddos, and her cat.
