Elisabeth Maberry, M.Ed.

Elisabeth (Beth) Poling Maberry is the Executive Director of Finance & Operations and Online & Continuing Education. In this role, Beth manages and oversees divisional budgets and financial planning, day-to-day operations, summer program development, and short-term travel study.

Beth holds a Master of Education in Student Development in Higher Education with a concentration in At Risk Students, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Ecology and Environmental Sciences, both from the University of Maine. Her areas of specialty include program development and assessment, strategic planning, finance, operations, student crisis response and intervention, and marketing/communications.

After graduating from the University of Maine, Beth served in several progressive Student Affairs roles- Residence Hall Director at the University of New Hampshire, Assistant Director of Housing Services at the University of Maryland South Campus Commons (COCM), and Associate Director of Housing and Residence Life at Springfield College. Beth joined the DLL team in July, 2019 as the Coordinator for Summer Program Development, leading staff and faculty across the University in the development of robust summer programs to aid in student recruitment, retention, and success, including obtaining multiple grants to fund these new initiatives. Beth has also taught as an adjunct here at UMaine.

When not at work, Beth loves traveling, spending time outdoors (especially hiking and fishing), cooking, sewing, and spending time with her partner and three young children.
