Dr. Boumis leads the Future Coasts Lab at the University of Maine, and he focuses on coastal engineering and infrastructure resilience. He uses climate model data to predict how coastal flood hazards, such as storm surges and waves, will evolve under climate variability and change, and he works on developing practical flood risk management solutions for coastal communities.
