Brief Biography: Originally from Colorado, I felt immediately at home in Maine among the forests and rivers. When I’m not trying to get statistical models to run, I can often be found birding, trail running, fly fishing, or gardening.

Current Research: My research focuses on the breeding ecology of the at-risk Golden-winged Warbler, which is being replaced by the Blue-winged Warbler throughout much of its range. Working at Fort Drum, New York—a major hybrid zone for Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warblers—I use nest monitoring, DNA metabarcoding, insect sampling, and habitat data to understand how food resources, habitat management, and species interactions shape reproductive success and population dynamics of these two species and their hybrids.
