  • Indian Health Service provides scholarships to American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) health professionals and undergraduate and graduate students.
  • American Indian Science and Engineering (AISES) provides scholarships to American Indian students. You must become a member of the UMO AISES chapter to be eligible for the AISES scholarships. Join the UMO Chapter today by contacting the Wabanaki Center.
  • University of Maine Career Center – Located at the University of Maine. The Career Center offers career counseling, job search services, resume assistance, and information on graduate schools and scholarships.

Native American Information

  • Digital History – A site that contains detailed resources on Native American history and uses new technologies to enhance teaching and research.
  • Indian Country – Up-to-date indigenous news from across the country.
  • Indigenous Environmental Network – News about environmental struggles happening throughout Indian Country.
  • Native American Rights Fund – Hundreds of resources from the National Indian Law Library as well as scholarship information.
  • 500 Nations – Described as a Native American Super Site.
  • Native Web – Resources for indigenous cultures around the world.
  • Oyate – An educational resource site by a Native organization working to ensure accurate portrayal of Native lives and histories.
  • PBS Resources for the Classroom – “Get Local” – time lines, lesson plans, and links to dozens of great history sites.
