Biography
I graduated from Eckerd College in 2022 with a degree in marine science with a concentration on biology. While in undergrad I was selected to be a REU at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences where I studied coral metabolism, specifically photosynthetic efficiency and electron pathways. After graduating, I spent several years with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection working as a maintainer at the state trout hatchery, then contributing to the monitoring and conservation efforts of river herring and Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon in the Connecticut River. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in marine biology where I am testing novel tagging methods on stage IV post-larval lobsters as well as looking at larval density and seasonality in the Gulf of Maine under a changing climate. My research interests include marine invertebrate ecology & physiology and scientific diving.
