My background is mostly in phytoplankton bio-optics and ecology, specially regarding community composition and its influence on phytoplankton light absorption. Recently, I joined a project that aims to identify preferred water masses for the toxic dinoflagellate Alexandrium fundyense in the Gulf of Maine using remote sensing of ocean color and sea surface temperature.
