Rogers Farm Field Day

July 9 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join researchers, students, and volunteers at Rogers Farm on Bennoch Rd. in Old Town to learn about the current activities on the farm. Researchers and students will be giving talks about their ongoing studies and how the results can provide insights valuable to agriculture in Maine. You will also learn about volunteer and learning opportunities such as the Master Gardener program, and enjoy a tour of the farm. All are welcome!

The event is free and geared toward farmers, crop advisors and others interested in agricultural production.

  • Variety trials for potatoes, small grains, dry beans, and forage legumes
  •  Organic grain and dry bean production
  • Cover crop mulch no-till system for dry beans
  • Interseeding cover crops in vegetable crops
  • Potato Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
