River Stories: Voices of the Damariscotta River Estuary
The goal of this project is to develop creative approaches to engage members of our community in conversations related to environmental and socioeconomic change.
Using arts-based methods like storytelling, creative writing, and theater, we are exploring innovative ways to share knowledge and learn together in support of community resilience, particularly within the Damariscotta River estuary watershed.
Oral histories – which involve recording the voices and stories of those who have lived recent history – are foundational to this project. If you would like to share your experiences and thoughts with environmental and socioeconomic change in our community, please contact us!
