in Workforce Development

The Graduate School of the University of Maine is celebrating the past 100 years advancing graduate education and enhancing the graduate student experience through collaboration with the colleges and schools. Responsible for providing academic leadership for over 150 degree programs, we not only build robust research and educational partnerships but we also provide financial and academic support to a diverse student body.

At the University of Maine, the possibilities are endless. UMaine plays a pivotal role within our state, as the Land, Sea, and Space Grant institution and the Flagship university of the University of Maine System. With a research centered mission, we are an economic driver for our state and beyond. Our research and graduate studies set us apart with the distinctiveness and leadership that enhance our national competitiveness.

A diverse array of research and scholarly activities can be found within our colleges, centers, and institutes. Research and scholarship are woven into every aspect of the UMaine Experience. You will find world-class research conducted by nationally and internationally recognized faculty who are dedicated to the student experience.
