Bio: Michelle Kearney brings more than 25 years’ experience in education, having served as a classroom teacher, student-centered literacy coach, and most recently as a district instructional specialist for K–6 English Language Arts and Social Studies. Through these experiences, she has embraced the role of a reflective practitioner, drawing lessons that continue to inform and inspire her work with current and future educators.

Her approach to education is driven by a passion for helping teacher candidates deepen their content knowledge and bridge theory and practice in authentic ways. She strives to create learning experiences that emphasize responsive instruction informed by standards, progressions, and formative assessment, while honoring the diverse strengths, voices, and choices of students. Michelle is dedicated to fostering culturally responsive, equitable, and rich learning environments that prepare new teachers to meet the needs of all learners.
