Bio: Casey Kelly is the communications coordinator for the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development. He leads external communication and marketing efforts for the college, including writing news releases, media advisories, stories and other content for UMaine News that highlight the accomplishments of faculty, staff and students. He maintains the college website and oversees the college’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). Casey has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon and a master’s in communication from UMaine. He worked for nearly a decade as a public radio reporter in Alaska, where he covered a variety of topics, including the commercial fishing industry, local and state government, efforts to revitalize Alaska Native languages, and much more.
