Bio: Aubrey Rogowski is a postdoctoral research associate for the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education (RiSE Center) and the College of Education and Human Development where she works with Project TIDES. Dr. Rogowski  is deeply committed to creating equitable opportunities in STEM + Computing Education (STEM + C). Her research is centered on K-12 learning environments and teacher professional development with a strong focus on K-5 computational thinking and computer science (CS) education, curriculum development, and STEM-rich learning experiences. Dr. Rogowski has experience working on several NSF-funded grants. Dr. Rogowski’s current work aims to support CS education in elementary contexts through integration in math. Dr. Rogowski has previously worked as an elementary teacher, special education teacher and special education department chair. In 2024, Dr. Rogowski was awarded the prestigious Earl F. Strohben Internship sponsored by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). Dr. Rogowski currently serves on the AECT Research and Theory Board as the Communications Officer.
