Amy Tucker: Spillin’ the Beanes — The Secrets of Student-Driven Integrated Curriculum

At Maranacook Community Middle School, each multi-age team uses a process described by James Beane to help students to generate a theme for a unit of study. This session will be an interactive lightning-round of a Beane Process, where participants will first act as students engaged in the process, then will shift into a teacher role to see how we use student questions and votes to plan integrated (or interdisciplinary) curriculum for a trimester.
