Joo Young Lee
Bio: Joo Young Lee is an assistant professor of special education in the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development’s School of Learning and Teaching. Her research centers on evidence-based practices that enhance students’ mathematical problem-solving and reasoning in inclusive settings. Her recent work has utilized various quantitative research methods to validate mathematical writing interventions and assessments for students with learning disabilities and difficulties, with a particular emphasis on mathematical language development. Prior to her current position, she served as a postdoctoral researcher in teacher education at the University of Maine.
