Sara Flanagan: Universal Design for Learning
The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework gives educators the tools to craft classrooms and other learning environments that are flexible and accessible to the different needs, learning styles and preferences of all students. This session will explore the key principles of UDL and why it is important for inclusivity, accessibility, motivation and efficiency in instruction.

Sara Flanagan is an assistant professor of special education. Her research focuses on literacy and secondary students with and without high incidence disabilities, with a specific focus on written expression.
