Hollie Adams received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Calgary, where she specialized in creative writing, contemporary fiction, and narratology. She is the author of the short story collection Dear Humans (NeWest, 2026), the poetry collection Beckoning (Guernica Editions, 2026), the novel Things You’ve Inherited from Your Mother (NeWest, 2015), and the chapbook of prose poetry Deliver Me from Swedish Furniture (Zed, 2017), which was short-listed for the bpNichol Chapbook Award. Her short fiction and poetry have been published in magazines and anthologies across Canada, including GeistThe New QuarterlyThe Malahat ReviewRoomContemporary Verse 2Best Canadian Poetry, and Best Canadian Essays
