Fredrick “Birdie” Sawyer teaches beginner and intermediate hip-hop at UMaine and serves as the faculty advisor for the Hip Hop Club. Birdie spent several years with the Young Americans, teaching and touring throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. He has taught hip-hop locally at Morita’s School of Dance in Hermon and masterclasses throughout New England.
