In addition to courses in composition (ENG 201) and creative writing (ENG 205), Alan Marks teaches a range of genre-related Topics in Literature courses on subjects like Science Fiction and Philosophy, Vampires, Monsters, Apocalypse, and Stephen King. He also specializes in online teaching, and has taught well over 100 online course sections over the last couple of decades.

Outside of teaching, Alan has been focusing more on his own writing in recent years, receiving his MFA in Creative Writing through the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine in ’24. He focuses mostly on horror fiction, but dabbles in more literary writing from time to time.
