Review practical strategies for your first day in the classroom that will help you build an engaged, responsive and inclusive classroom. By the end of the workshop participants will:
- Generate a list of materials and/or resources you will need for a successful first day
- Review your class roster and strategize ways to learn students names
- Create a schedule for your first class to ensure you can include all requisite parts
- Draft an introduction to share about yourself
- Design activities to get students engaged with the syllabus and each other.
