Andrew King

Andrew has over 20 years of experience as a higher education professional, serving in dynamic roles across multiple institutions. Most recently, as Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Southern Maine (USM), Andrew led new programs in professional development, research and student engagement. Prior to that he was Director of Admissions at USM, where he drove critical enrollment growth and built strategic relationships with community and business partners. His other roles included Coordinator of Admissions & Recruitment at Hunter College in New York City and Staff Associate at the University of Maine System. Before going into higher education administration, Andrew was an editor and writer for publications in Boston and Maine. Andrew is passionate about helping students achieve their goals and connecting the university to the broader community. He lives in Portland with his wife and two sons, and is a proud UMaine alum (Class of ‘98).
