Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, representing the top 5% of business school programs worldwide. Membership honors academic excellence and offers lifetime access to global networks, professional development programs, and opportunities that support members from their academic careers into leadership positions across corporate, entrepreneurial, government, nonprofit, and academic sectors.

Beta Gamma Sigma is a prestigious international business honor society dedicated to honoring outstanding academic achievement in business programs accredited by AACSB International. Founded in 1913, BGS inducts the highest-achieving business students and connects them with a community of business leaders, lifelong learners, and professional resources designed to support career growth and leadership development
At the Maine Business School, Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes top academic performance by inducting the top 10% of undergraduate students and the top 20% of graduate students into its local chapter during annual induction ceremonies, celebrating scholastic excellence and fostering connections among peers and alumni.

Requirements

Eligibility for Beta Gamma Sigma is determined by academic performance. Undergraduate students ranked in the top 10% of their class and graduate students ranked in the top 20% after completing half of their program will be eligible for induction.

Dues

Membership dues are covered by the Maine Business School upon induction.
