Shahriar Uddin
Shahriar earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a focus on accounting and information systems, at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. His major academic accomplishments include: receiving a university scholarship in the first semester; ranking 5th among 68 students in the third semester; 9th in the last semester; and winning the best presenter award in the seventh semester. As a student with a competitive spirit, Shahriar won the General Knowledge Competition 2016 held by the Department of Business Administration, SUST, and secured the regional championship at the Robi Youth Fest 2017 hosted by the Bangladesh Brand Forum.
Throughout his life, he has participated in a number of volunteer organizations. Two of the notable roles were being a co-founder of an organization called WE for Bangladesh (WB) and serving as president of SUST CAREER CLUB (SUSTCC). At different stages during his university years, he worked as a part-time lecturer for five academic institutions: Onushilon Coaching Home, UCC, Paragon, Merit Coaching, and CONCEPT. In addition, he co-founded SCORE@IELTS, an online educational platform that aids students in getting prepared for higher education abroad.
After earning his BBA degree, Shahriar started his career at GMC Studies, a multinational student counseling agency. He spent 20 months working there. He’s delighted to have the opportunity to pursue an MBA in Business Analytics at the Maine Business School and to deepen his knowledge in his most preferred area of study.
