Donations help secure the future of the Planetarium and observatory here at the University of Maine. They assist in acquiring new programming, keeping our technology up to date, and providing numerous astronomy and science opportunities for students of all ages and the general public. Public Shows & Events
The Planetarium offers a series of weekly public programs and events each month. Includes a series of sound and light extravaganzas with music shows.
Field Trip Information
Our center provides engaging astronomy and science experiences to students of all ages. Field trips give students the chance to learn in new environments get inspired to explore their universe and world in new ways.
Observatory
There are two observatories on the University of Maine campus: The Maynard F. Jordan Observatory and The Clark Observatory. Jordan is a digital robotic instrument used for research purposes. Clark provides a more rustic and romantic view of the stars that can only be experienced through an eyepiece.
