Ohio Supercomputer Center and MathWorks to host “Machine Learning with MATLAB” workshop

One of UMaine ARCSIM’s partners, the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC), is excited to announce a workshop, “Machine Learning with MATLAB,” in collaboration with experts from the developer, MathWorks, on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 1:00pm–2:30 p.m. EST.

The workshop will explore the fundamentals of machine learning using MATLAB, a programming and numeric computing platform that integrates numerical analysis, matrix computation, signal processing, and graphics in an easy-to-use environment. Content will include an introduction to machine learning techniques to quickly explore your data, evaluate machine learning algorithms, compare the results and apply the best technique to your problem. Examples will be shown running on OSC clusters, and participants are encouraged to follow along.

Highlights

  • Training, evaluating and comparing a range of machine learning models
  • Using refinement and reduction techniques to create models that best capture the predictive power of your data
  • Running predictive models in parallel using multiple processors to expedite your results
  • Deploying your models to production in a variety of formats

This hybrid event will be hosted using Webex, with connection details provided via email to registrants prior to the event. To learn more about the workshop and to register, click here.
