The Maine Working Waterfront Coalition Listserv is a forum for discussing and sharing updates, ideas, and questions relating to Maine’s working waterfront industry. The Maine Working Waterfront Coalition is a statewide, non-partisan collaboration of public and private marine sector partners dedicated to supporting and enhancing Maine’s working waterfront through policy, communication and outreach, data projects, and pursuing funding opportunities to support collective work.

An important purpose of the Coalition, and driver behind this Listserv, is to help share information across sectors within the working waterfront industry; to build networks, foster collaboration, and inform policies and programs. This listserv will serve as a platform for interested members of the public, industry members, practitioners, and others to discuss and share matters relating to Maine’s working waterfronts. 

The Listserv is hosted by the University of Maine and maintained and moderated by the Leadership Committee of the Maine Working Waterfront Coalition.

GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION

  • Stay on topic and consider the purpose of this platform when posting.
  • Keep the dialogue constructive. Non-constructive or overly negative comments are not welcome.
    • As moderators, the Working Waterfront Coalition Leadership Committee will try to catch such discussions as soon as possible. If you have an issue with what somebody is saying, feel free to contact that person outside of this listserv or contact list moderators.
  • Inappropriate content (as outlined here) will be removed and moderators will take appropriate steps to address any issues, potentially including blocking future use of the listserv.
  • While discussing policy is encouraged, discussing politics is discouraged.
  • The listserv is not private communication. Please keep in mind that when you post something or reply to a message, all subscribers will receive it. If you don’t want it to be public, do not share it on this platform.
  • Avoid adding attachments over 1MB.
