Chris McLaughlin

Chris McLaughlin, MSW, LCSW (he/him/his) is the owner and lead consultant of Inspired Consulting Group, LLC, where he partners with organizations to strengthen systems of care through equity-centered leadership, workforce development, professional development, and affirming practice. With more than 25 years of experience in behavioral health, Chris has worked across a wide range of settings supporting youth, families, and the professionals who serve them, including schools, child welfare, community-based programs, private practice, and hospital-based services. He has served on the Maine Board of Social Work Licensing as well as on boards of multiple community organizations and professional social work associations.

Chris previously served as Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers, Maine Chapter, where he led statewide legislative advocacy and professional development initiatives. He earned his BA in Psychology and MSW from the University of Maine and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Social Work at the University of New England. In addition to his consulting work, Chris serves as adjunct faculty with several schools of social work across Maine, where he is known for his engaging, practice-informed, and values-driven approach to teaching.
