Understanding Your Bill
Below is a detailed breakdown of our billing statements to help you better understand your amount due. This includes any new charges, pending financial aid, and the classes associated with your charges.

ANd PAYMENT ADDress
In the top right corner of the billing statement, we provide the payment mailing address. In the bottom section, you’ll find important details for your reference: the invoice number, the account number (same as your student’s ID), the amount due, and the payment due date.

BreaKdown of NEW Charges
Statements reflect any previous balance, as well as new charges, pending credits where applicable, and pending aid, which typically disbursed onto the student’s account shortly before the start of each semester. Together, these figures result in the Current Balance on the right-hand side.
An itemized list of charges and payments is listed in the table. Note that most billing statements will reflect multiple line items; students may find it useful to review their Item Summary by Term in MaineStreet to see a condensed version of this information.

LIST OF Anticipated Aid
In the next section, you’ll see a breakdown of your currently anticipated financial aid and the term each item is associated with. Most financial aid remains in “anticipated” or pending status on your student account until about a week before classes begin. At that time, it will disburse and be directly applied to your bill.
Please note: You may still see aid items listed with an award amount of zero. This usually means the aid has already been applied to your bill.

Classes INCLUDED IN THE BILLING STATEMENT
In the bottom section of the billing statement, you’ll find a list of the classes currently included in your charges. Adding, dropping, or withdrawing from courses can affect both your total bill and your financial aid eligibility.
We encourage you to review this section carefully. If you’re considering any adjustments to your schedule, be sure to understand how those changes might impact your balance and aid before making them.
