Hiring a Student Employee
When hiring a student employee, supervisors should first review the Student Job Classifications and Pay Scale to determine the appropriate pay level for the position. Doing so ensures fairness and consistency across campus.
All student positions must be paid within the approved pay scale. Requests to hire outside the established pay range require prior approval from Student Employment before an offer can be made or a job is submitted for processing.
