Satisfactory Academic Progress

Federal financial aid regulations require financial aid recipients to make progress toward earning their degree. This requires students to stay above specific GPA minimums and complete the degree within a maximum timeframe. You can lose eligibility for aid if you are not doing well in your class and/or if it is taking a very long time to earn your degree.

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects the privacy of student information. Under this Act, students have the right to inspect and review their education records and have the right to challenge records when they are inaccurate, mislead, or otherwise in violation of the student’s privacy rights.
