The Boardwalk is closed for the winter.

The Orono Bog Boardwalk is scheduled to open on May 1st for our 18th season.  HOWEVER, we are concerned about the physical distancing required to prevent exposure to the COVID19 virus.   The 4-foot-wide Boardwalk is too narrow to protect the health and safety of our many visitors and volunteers.  As May 1st approaches, we will seek guidance from the Maine Center for Disease Control, the University of Maine, and the City of Bangor as to advisability of opening the Boardwalk.  Please check back for updates. Thank you!

Please check out and “like” our Facebook page for more and current Boardwalk information.
