Students interested in careers in Maine’s life science and bioscience industries are invited to attend the BioME Career Exploration event on March 25. Hosted by the Bioscience Association of Maine, this interactive expo provides opportunities to connect with industry professionals, explore career pathways, and participate in career-focused workshops.
Attendees will have the chance to learn directly from Maine life science companies about potential career roles, required skills, and emerging opportunities within the state. Workshops will cover topics including resume and interview strategies, personal branding, transitioning from science to startup environments, and identifying individual strengths for career growth.
The Institute of Medicine will sponsor an expo table at the event. Greg Cox, Director of the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering, will attend alongside graduate students to speak with attendees about graduate education opportunities, student experiences, and academic pathways in biomedical science and engineering.
This event is open to high school juniors and seniors, undergraduate and graduate students, recent graduates, and anyone interested in exploring careers in Maine’s bioscience sector.
