During this workshop students interested in applying for the Goldwater Scholarship will receive information and tips, and they will be able to ask questions.

This presentation will offer an overview of  nationally competitive merit-scholarships for undergraduate students with deadlines between October and March  (Gilman, Goldwater, Udall, Truman, Madison, NOOA-Hollings, Critical Languages Scholarship and Boren). Pizza will be served.

This event will introduce undergraduate students in Modern Languages and Classics and in International Affairs to merit-based national scholarships available in their fields.

Organized by the Office of International Programs, in collaboration with the Office of Major Scholarships, this workshop will provide essential information on applying for the Gilman International Scholarship (deadline, application components, etc.) as well as useful tips on essay writing.

By this date students notify the Coordinator, Nives Dal Bo-Wheeler (nives.dalbowheeler@maine.edu) or the faculty advisor for the Udall Scholarship, Prof. Darren Ranco (darren.ranco@maine.edu) of their intention to apply. The Office of International Program will offer an informational workshop on the George Mitchell Scholarship. This event will take place in the OIP office at Estabrooke Hall.

Students who have filled out a questionnaire will be notified as to whether they are eligible and can begin the application process for the Goldwater Scholarship.  They will be also given all the necessary instructions.
