The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students on a Federal Pell Grant or receiving Title IV funding the opportunity study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.
Benefits:
- Up to $5,000 in funding to cover study abroad costs
- 12 months of noncompetitive eligibility hiring status for jobs within the federal government after receiving the scholarship
- Up to $3,000 of additional funding for students studying critical languages while abroad

UMaine’s Office of Major Scholarships will host the session on Monday, February 2nd from 12:00 to 1:00 PM in the Bumps Room, Memorial Union. UMaine Machias students can attend via Zoom.
