Leslie Lab: Marine Conservation Science

Emma Polhemus

Emma Polhemus supports the Leslie Lab as a summer 2023 undergraduate intern. With Drs. Jessica Reilly-Moman and Heather Leslie, she is researching the social factors that influence place-technology fit of ocean renewable energy in Maine. Emma is studying Environmental Science with a planned concentration in marine science and a minor in Spanish at the University of Vermont’s Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources. After completing her undergraduate degree (expected 2025), Emma hopes to continue working at the nexus of coastal and marine research and community engagement.
