November 2016: Dr. Howell presented “Bacterial Adhesion to Immobilized Liquid Layers under Dynamic Conditions” at the 63rd AVS International Symposium & Exhibition in Nashville, TN on Monday, November 7th, 2016 and “Tunability of Infused Polymers as Immobilized Liquid Layer Substrates” at the 2016 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston, MA on Monday, November 28th.
September 2016: Welcome new lab members Chloe, Edwin, Kayla, Jennie, and Austin. They will be working on blood, protein, and bacterial interactions with infused polymers.

May 2016: We are honored to have received a University of Maine System 2016 Research Reinvestment Fund Grant to work on the development of liquid-infused paper substrates for new biomedical applications in collaboration with SLIPS Tech, Inc, and excited to begin working on this project!
April 2016: Congrats Irini and former lab members Nidhi, Haylea, Susan, Eugene, Amanda, Thy and Jenny on the acceptance of our paper “Infused Polymers for Cell Sheet Release” in Nature Scientific Reports.
