Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: I became a GSG senator to actively represent and advocate for the needs and concerns of our graduate student community, striving to improve our university experience and create a positive impact. Serving in this role allows me to be a proactive advocate for our fellow graduate students while working collaboratively with the university to make positive changes.
How would you best serve your constituents?: I’ll serve my constituents best by actively listening to their concerns, fostering open communication, and working diligently to address their needs.
Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: My research primarily focuses on investigating an emerging, persistent contaminant PFAS, known as “forever chemicals,” to understand their behavior in soil-water interfaces. Beyond research, I enjoy swimming, hiking, spending time with friends, and listening to podcasts for a well-rounded and fulfilling life.
How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: With emails, social media updates, and personal conversations to ensure their voices are heard and needs addressed effectively.
